"Perfect Victim" Myth
SAAFE House is dedicated to ending the harmful myth that suggests there is a 'perfect victim' of sexual assault or domestic violence. We provide non-judgmental, confidential services to all survivors of sexual and domestic violence. We believe in empowering survivors and we are committed to breaking down the myths and barriers that prevent survivors from getting the help they deserve.
It Affects Everyone
At SAAFE House, we believe that everyone is entitled to a life free from sexual assault and domestic violence. Regardless of gender, sexuality, race, or economic class, anyone can be a victim of these crimes. Or even you live around the surrounding counties or a student attending SHSU. It takes courage to reach out for help, but we want to assure you that you are not alone. Everyone is welcome at SAAFE House, and we are committed to supporting and empowering survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
