Our Two Core Areas of Care

SAAFE House serves anyone impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault — women, men, and children from every background, including those who may feel unseen or unsure where to turn. Whether you’re seeking safety from abuse, healing from trauma, or guidance to rebuild your life, our services are here to help. We work with survivors directly, support families through the recovery process, and educate communities to break the cycle of violence across East Texas.

Together, we can ensure that help is always here when it’s needed most.

The work we do at SAAFE House depends on people who care — neighbors, students, professionals, and families who want to make East Texas safer for everyone. When you give your time, resources, or skills, you become part of someone’s path to safety and independence. Every donation keeps the lights on in our shelters. Every volunteer hour reminds someone they’re not alone.

It’s time to break the shame that keeps people from seeking help.

Domestic and sexual violence can happen to anyone, in every community and at every stage of life. These forms of abuse are rooted in control, silence, and fear — but shame should never keep anyone from speaking up or asking for help. At SAAFE House, we work to replace shame with understanding through education, advocacy, and honest conversation about consent, safety, and respect. When our communities talk openly about abuse, we make it easier for people to reach out, find healing, and rebuild their lives with dignity.
